Band Camp Information
ROOKIE CAMP - June 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 from 1pm to 8pm
There
will be three band camps this summer and the first one is for all NEW
MEMBERS and is called
"Rookie Camp." The Rookie Camp takes place from
Monday through Friday the week after school gets out

Leadeship. During this camp we will
give all new members the music for the Marching Warrior's
Football Half-time show. New members of the
Competition Band will also receive music for the Competition
Show.
During
the afternoons, we will be in the band room learning about the "marching
band activity" as it is known
in the marching band world. We will cover the basics of marching
and playing outdoors, whic is quite different
from playing indoors. We will also learn much of the music
for the football games that we will play in the stands.
After
the heat of the day passes, we will move out to the Marching Warriors practice
field for marching basics.
When possible, we will utilize the gym or cafeteria to enjoy
the air conditioning! See the Band
Camp Checklist
page for details about what to wear and how to get ready.
